Surviving the end of the world

December 22, 2012

ImageSo the end of the Mayan calendar has come and gone.  And guess what?  We’re all still here!  I’m not sure what kinds of craziness went on all around the world, but judging from the headlines on MSM, it looks like the kooks were pretty low key for this apocalypse.  Then again, there are still a few hours left of December 21st on the other side of the world from me…

I woke up this morning just happy.  Happy I woke up next to Master Herren one more day.  Happy I have the most amazing teenage girls ever.  Happy to have the cutest puppy (even though I can’t put the Christmas presents under the tree for fear of coming home to a real big mess).  Happy to be safe and well provided for in one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

I just can’t express how grateful I am to have the life I do and the people I love in it.  No matter what has gone on before, I am happy, right here, right now and the love is what keeps me going.  I am incredibly blessed.

Happy last minute shopping everyone!
